Mineral salts. Mineral salts and the proper functioning of the body

Mineral salts are essential substances for the proper functioning of the metabolism, participating in the structuring of the body (constituting the bones) and even integrating directly or indirectly vital reactions, for example, photosynthesis and breathing.

Thus, these elements, each with distinct chemical properties, with particular molecular charges and affinities, they were for millions of years organizing themselves not only in the physical formation of matter, but also sharing the complex arrangement biological.
Among the main mineral elements important to living beings, the following stand out:
- Calcium → necessary during the process of calcification and bone maintenance, also composing the structuring of teeth, in addition to collaborating with the conduction of nerve impulses and muscle contraction. Source: milk and its derivatives (cheese, yogurt) and dark green vegetables.
- Phosphorus → helps bone maintenance, it is present in the composition of the DNA, RNA and ATP molecule. Source: meat in general and vegetables.

- Sodium → acts in osmoregulation, diffusion of nerve impulses and aid in the process of muscle contraction. Source: condiment (salt) used in food preparation.
- Fluoride → provides the formation of teeth and bones. Source: present in low concentration in food and added to the drinking water supply.
- Potassium → also participates in osmoregulation, is present in the conformation of the phospholipids of the plasma membrane, participates in the transmission of nerve impulses, and also influences the contraction muscle. Source: fruits, vegetables and vegetables.
- Iron → an integral part of the hemoglobin molecule, responsible for oxygen assimilation and transport. Source: liver, green vegetables, egg and vegetables.
- Iodine → composition of hormonal substances of the thyroid gland. Source: mainly table salt enriched with iodine.
- Magnesium → present in the chlorophyll molecule, provides the capture of light. Source: fruits, cereals, vegetables and vegetables.

Do not stop now... There's more after the advertising ;)
