Meaning of Abstract (What it is, Concept and Definition)

Abstract is a verb that means disregard, not giving much importance or not taking something into account. It's not giving so much importance to an event or an issue.

Abstracting can also be understood as being oblivious or being "out of oneself". If a person is abstracted, it means that he is not paying attention to what is happening around him.

The verb can also be used to mean high ability to concentrate or focus attention. In this sense, the word can take on the meaning of extreme attention to details or multiple aspects of a given subject.
