Higgs boson: what it is, importance and summary

However, the first experiment capable of proving the existence of this particle was only carried out in 2013, using the largest particle accelerator in the world, the LHC (Large Hadrons Collider).

Does the Higgs boson exist?

Yes, the Higgs boson exists. The existence of this particle was confirmed in 2013, during high energy experiments developed at the LHC.
