Chemical energy of the body

What energy is responsible for sustaining life? Chemical energy is that which comes from the breaking of bonds between atoms, and this energy is what keeps us alive.
For a better understanding, let's start by defining what chemical reactions are. The reactions responsible for breaking or forming bonds between atoms are present inside our body, they are in the cells and from them the body structure is built.
Some bodily functions such as: healing process, teeth formation, hair and nail growth, all come from energy absorption reactions. On the other hand, the body heating that allows us to protect against the cold is a consequence of chemical reactions that release energy. It is precisely because of this energy that living in icy places, such as the north and south poles, becomes possible.
