This section of BrazilRegional presents texts with content referring to the history of each region of Brazil, from their respective cultural and traditional aspects to social, economic and political aspects linked to the geographic peculiarities of the country (for this reason, this section also establishes links with the section of geographyofBrazil).
As we know, Brazil is a country of continental dimensions and occupies most of the AmericaofSouth. This entire vast region has been cleared, conquered (through wars), colonized or traded over the more than five hundred years of the country's history. The system of CaptainciesHereditary — the first form of occupation of Brazilian territory — was planned and authorized by the Portuguese Court in the 16th century. Then followed, in accordance with the historical transformations that Brazil underwent, the models of Province and States.
The current states of São Paulo and Pernambuco, for example, have their respective histories linked to stories of the captaincies of São Paulo and Pernambuco, as well as the homologous provinces that replaced these captaincies. The initial configuration of the hereditary captaincies began to undergo changes with the process of
Girl Scouting, responsible for the exploration of the Brazilian interior. Therefore, the history of the formation of Brazilian regions had as a starting point phenomena such as theentrances and the flags. But also other phenomena, such as the invasions of other European nations (Netherlands, above all), the use of handinconstructionsslaveblack, the migrations of European and Asian settlers, were decisive for the configuration of regional traditions in Brazil.This section will also feature texts that expose the history of the institutes and State policies that thought and instituted the Brazilian regions. O Brazilian Historical and Geographical Institute(IHGB)and the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) are the most important on this topic. Understanding the trajectory of the formation of Brazilian regions is important to know how we arrived at the current configuration we have, that is, the five major regions: RegionsNorth,North East,Midwest,Southeast and South. The states integrated into each region are:
States of the North Region: Acre,Amazons, Amapá,For, Rondônia,Roraima and Tocantins;
States of the Northeast region: Maranhão, Piauí,Pernambuco, Ceará,RiverGreatofNorth,Paraíba,Alagoas,Sergipe and Bahia;
States of the Midwest Region: BushThick,BushthickofSouth,Goiás and Federal District;
States of the Southeast Region: They arePaul,Minesgeneral, RiverinJanuary and SpiritHoly;
Southern Region States: RiverGreatofSouth,SantaCatherine and Paraná.
The section will feature channels dedicated to each of these regions, with subsections covering the history of the states contained therein, as well as the capitals and main cities to them owned. Example: within the HistorygivesRegionMidwest, We have the History of Goiás and, within the latter, we have the HistoryinGoiania, which, in turn, includes content such as the Radioactive Accident in Goiânia and the History of the Santa Marta Colony.
