Children's Day: family activities

Spending the children's day in a very pleasant and happy way is not a difficult task, as long as the parents organize themselves in advance for this, taking into account what the children like the most, which is of greatest interest to the same.

We present here some suggestions for activities to be carried out inside and outside the home, spending almost nothing or as much as you plan. It is good to remember the importance of organizing the tasks, interspersing them so that at some point the the child is calmer and more agitated in another, so that the parents will have more control of the situation.

1 – Picnic: prepare a basket with food that the children like, such as sandwiches, cakes, sweet pies or snacks, cookies, jellies and some goodies, and in a thermos box put juices, yogurts, soft drinks and lots of Water. Search in advance for a suitable location, preferably where there is a bathroom nearby, so you don't have problems not finding it. If it is a public square, check first if the activity is allowed. Don't forget to bring a large towel so that all family members can be seated. Bring some games and toys, such as a puzzle, ball, drawings and coloring crayons, children's magazines, books, etc., after all, children will want to have a lot of fun. And wear very comfortable clothes with hats and caps, plus sunscreen, of course.

2 – Tent or Sheet Tent: if the family is not camping, set up the tent in the backyard of your house, as if it were a fun room, with games and toys. Another idea is that, if possible, everyone can sleep in it the night before, as it will create an atmosphere of great anxiety and happiness in the children. If you don't have a tent, set up a tent in a place in the house such as a bedroom or living room. Put a TV and DVD inside and watch a good movie or take advantage of the space to play house, read stories or share secrets.

3 – Arts activities: Print from our page drawings to paint, dot activities and have fun together. Cut colored papers of different colors into small squares and make a mosaic. Another idea is to buy sheets of craft or brown paper and use them for painting with gouache paint. These activities are very interesting as they require a high level of concentration and children are quieter.

Do not stop now... There's more after the advertising ;)

4 – Walk in a square or zoo: children love these outdoor walks. They will be able to talk a lot about their lives or even about nature, eating popcorn, giving leftover bread to ducklings in a pond, riding a bicycle, etc. It's good to remember that it's not a day to give sermons about events that happened before, about poor grades in school, but a day of great fellowship and fun. If the child breaks any rules, talk to him firmly, explaining that it is a special day and that it is not okay to spoil the family schedule.

5 – Cinema: choose a movie on display that is in the child's interest and appropriate for their age and together, watch it with lots of popcorn, of course.

6 – Theater and storytelling groups: these are very suitable activities for the little ones, and can be found in malls or open markets. There are also children's plays presented in local theaters, but tickets must be purchased in advance so as not to frustrate children if they cannot find them. Parents will be able to research in advance, in a local newspaper, what the city halls of their cities are organizing.

7 – Amusement Park: taking the children to the park is very nice, because they feel enchanted with it. If the park has sand toys, bring buckets and other suitable toys to make castles together. Remember to research if the park has a snack bar, as children can get hungry, and they need to consume a lot of water. If the park is for electronic toys, schedule in advance how much you will spend and set aside money for expenses already at home, showing the children that there is a limit for this. That way, they'll know how much they can spend and they'll be resigned when the money runs out.

8 – Farm hotels: these are also very well accepted by children, and the family can plan to spend the day. Usually in these places there are carriage rides, ponies or horses, games with monitors, zip line, fishing, among others. It will be great fun!
