Is Taking a Hot Bath Expensive?

Cleaning through bathing is valued by the majority of the world population. The act of taking a shower is routine and on average occurs between two and three times a day.
In homes, the electric shower makes bathing a little longer due to the fact that the water comes out hot. In addition to using more water, when we have this device at home, we increase electricity consumption.
We assume that a household shower has a power equivalent to 5400W, and the resident takes three showers a day, spending 12 minutes in each bath, we can calculate the monthly amount spent, considering that the city's power station charges R$ 0.50 in K.W.h.
Bath time per day = 12 min x 3 = 36 minutes
Bathing time month = 36 x 30 = 1080 minutes = 18h
Shower power = 5400 W = 5.4 KW
Consumption = Power x time = 5.4 x 18 = 97.2 kWh
Value Paid = Value (kWh) x Consumption = 0.50 x 97.2 = R$ 48.60
Within these conditions, if a person takes three baths a day, each one in a time interval equivalent to twelve minutes, the monthly expense due to these baths will be equal to R$ 48.60.

Defining whether the baths will be expensive or not is relative and depends on everyone's budget, but to ease the price paid at the end of the month, just reduce the time it takes to shower or use the shower cold.

Do not stop now... There's more after the advertising ;)
