Windows is a multitasking operating system for computers and mobile devices, developed by Microsoft. The word Windows literally means "windows", in the translation from English to Portuguese.
Considered one of the most used operating systems in the world, Windows began to be designed in 1981, but it was only in 1993 that its first version was released.
Initially, Windows offered only a graphical interface, working only in graphical mode programs. Since then, this operating system has evolved, both in terms of features, design and efficiency. So far, Microsoft already has dozens of updates, the best known being: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and, more recently, Windows 10.
There are several products that make up the Microsoft Windows “family” such as Windows Live, Windows Media Center, Windows Media Player, among other software that were developed exclusively to enhance the performance of operating systems made for the Microsoft.
