"The Great Wall of China is the only human work that can be seen from space with the naked eye." All this went down the drain when in 2004, the first Chinese astronaut to go into Earth orbit, Yang Liwei, declared that the Wall of China was not visible under these conditions.
NASA announced that what they thought was the construction was actually the layout of a river between the mountains, having publicly and officially recognized that the Great Wall of China is not visible from space without the help of gadgets.
In fact, according to the Chinese Academy of Sciences (ACC), other major works, such as the pyramids in Egypt or even the Itaipu hydroelectric plant can be seen from space according to a few factors: atmospheric conditions, the ability to interpret the structures seen from Earth's orbit and, of course, the location of the observer.
Do not stop now... There's more after the advertising ;)
