A good description requires careful observation and is characterized by the exposure of physical, psychological and even emotional traits.
Remember that the objective description presents the person, place or object in a realistic way, without including personal perceptions. In subjective description, however, the observer makes use of his private impressions.
So let's see how to make a good description of:
The)People: Usually when we talk about a person, we remember their way of smiling, their height, the shape of their face, and so on. Therefore, when portraying someone on paper, you can highlight some physical peculiarities, such as: height, skin color, eye and hair color, weight, way of dressing, tone of voice, etc.. It should also point out psychological characteristics: character, temperament, way of expressing oneself, conduct, way of acting, way of speaking, etc.
B)Place: There are several elements you can name. The important thing is that the reader feels in the place described. For this, note whether this place is closed or open. If closed, describe the colors of the wall, curtain, door; the type of floor, the way the objects are arranged, the luminosity; the likely feeling of those who stay in the environment for a long time, etc. If open, talk about the local background, whether there are trees, animals, what kind of animals, whether there is grass and how it feels stepping on it (if applicable), if there are fruits on the trees or if they are dry, the climate, the room temperature, the aromas, the sounds, etc.
ç)Object: Note the shape (round, triangular), the dimension (width, height, thickness), the material of your composition, the appearance (color, brightness, weight, texture), whether it is old or new, whether there are stains or something that indicates it is old (yellowish leaves), its usefulness, its value, etc.
If you follow these criteria, it will make a great description!
