The accent indicator of the crasis - An interpretive analysis

When it comes to grammatical peculiarities, sources that generate countless questions, the backrest accent is a typical example of such representation.
How often, under certain circumstances, we feel surrounded by doubts regarding the correct use of this graphic sign. Like for example: costume party? Or costume party? Breaded chicken? Or breaded chicken?
This is a fact that little by little, through the assiduous practice of reading and writing, becomes less complex, because of the infamous rules that so much insist on confusing us, they gradually incorporate themselves into our linguistic knowledge as we apprehend them in a way effective.
Often, a contextual analysis is enough to detect or not its presence, considering two basic functions:
* Signal the basic fusion of two identical vowels referring to a term that requires the use of the preposition “a” with another that allows the use of the definite article. As the example demonstrates:
Let's go to the pool – Whoever goes, always goes somewhere.

Pool is a feminine noun preceded by the article of the same gender.
Therefore, in this case, the referred occurrence is constituted.
* Avoid ambiguity in sentences due to this similarity (two identical vowels, but with different functions). In this case, it is necessary to establish a relationship of meaning linked to discursive semantics so that the impasse is resolved. Let's see:
Carlos painted the machine.
In this case we have a definite article accompanying the noun machine.
The speech reveals that a dye was applied to a particular object.
Carlos painted with the machine.
Here it already denotes another sense: that of using some kind of mechanism to carry out such activity. Painting could be done by hand.
Smell of gasoline.
Smell of gasoline.

In the first incidence, we have the notion of significance linked to the act of inhaling fuel. The second reveals an odor with characteristics similar to fuel.
We just had the will to see it again.
Guests felt at ease on the premises.

A similar fact occurs in this example.
Given the above, let us return to the statement mentioned above in relation to the correct use of the crasis. In both cases, it is necessary to use the back letter, as these are expressions that denote (even if implicit) the way of, the way of.
It is important to emphasize that even in the case of cases placed before male terms, this requirement is dispensed with. As the example shows us:
The beautiful woman enjoys her Louis XV models.
