Jehovah, also called Yahweh, is the God's name in the Hebrew Bible, and is a term of Hebrew origin.
Jews no longer recognize the term, and even avoid using it, and currently Jehovah is linked to another religion, known as Jehovah's Witnesses.
Jehovah also appears in the Catholic Church Bible, but appears in the form of a tetragram, a word that was written without vowels, YHWH, and was translated to Jehovah.
Jehovah's Witnesses
Jehovah's Witnesses is a Christian religion, where believers are followers of Jesus, but believe they are a restoration of the Christianity that was practiced in the first century. All of its doctrines and teachings are based on the Bible, and the religion is present in over 230 countries worldwide.
Initially, the group was known as the Bible Students, but in 1931 they adopted the name Jehovah's Witnesses, based on the verses in Isaiah 43:10-12. Contrary to what many people think, Jehovah's Witnesses are not Protestants, but they can objective to obey the teachings of Jesus Christ, who is considered the founder of this organization religious.
