Retirees and pensioners of the INSS have an excellent benefit in Brazilian pharmacies. With the Meu INSS+ benefits club, this group has discounts of up to 70% on various medications and other services throughout Brazil. Meu INSS+ was recently launched, with the aim of providing a series of benefits to millions of INSS beneficiaries. In addition to pharmacy discounts, the benefits club also has discounts on cinemas, shows, travel, telemedicine, insurance, among other possibilities.
Furthermore, the government aims to extend these benefits, entering into agreements with other financial institutions that pay INSS benefits. The aim is to value the agency's insured and employees, facilitating access to more rights and facilities. The program is an extension of the benefits already offered by federal public banks, and is now also available to INSS beneficiaries.
Who is entitled to My INSS+?
Of the 38.4 million INSS beneficiaries, approximately 25.9 million receive their payments by Bradesco, Mercantil do Brasil, Banco do Brasil and Caixa Econômica Federal are entitled to the program. As previously stated, the government aims to expand the benefits of Meu INSS+ to other banking institutions that carry out INSS transfers.
To access the benefits and discounts, beneficiaries must access the Meu INSS application or website. On these portals, retirees and pensioners will need to choose the “beneficiary card” option, as announced by the government. The measure was signed by the Minister of Social Security, Carlos Lupi. According to him, millions of Brazilians will benefit from the new benefits club.
How do I check what the discounts are?
To check which discounts the beneficiary is entitled to, you will need to consult the bank's website to verify receipt of your payments. After checking which discounts are available, you will need to present the beneficiary's card at the store and request the benefit.
If you do not yet have the beneficiary's card, simply access the Meu INSS application and complete the following step by step:
- Select “Beneficiary Wallet”;
- Choose a photo to be placed in the document;
- Click on the square that informs that “please be aware that when presenting your card, the benefit details will be shared via the QR Code”;
- Click Continue;
- The wallet will be made available.
