How do Oxford admission tests work at Cefet-MG?
Entrance tests for Oxford are carried out in order to “filter” the abilities of competitors and, finally, choose the best students. In response to Estadão, the university confirmed this information.
“We use these tests to help us choose from all the excellent candidates applying to study at Oxford,” explained the institution.
Furthermore, it is worth noting that these tests are carried out only to fill vacancies on courses offered in places accredited by Oxford, for the provision of courses outside the United Kingdom.
This was also corroborated by a response from the university.
“Every year, candidates from all over the world take their tests in their own schools or colleges, or in an open center, such as the Federal Center for Technological Education, in Minas Gerais.”
The test itself is very simple: candidates take a test that must be answered partially remotely and partially physically. After that, the test is submitted for evaluation and the candidate needs to wait for the results.
How to take the Oxford admission test at Cefet-MG?
First of all, it is necessary to emphasize that any Brazilian citizen who wishes can take the admission test at the University of Oxford from Cefet-MG.
To do so, you need to follow this step by step:
Visit the official website of the University of Oxford to apply for the admission test. A code will be generated.
Then, the interested party must take the generated code to the Cefet-MG website, Belo Horizonte campus, and request the test.
Finally, the candidate must pay the fees generated and wait for contact from the Minas Gerais institution with information about taking the test, including the dates.
When registering for the test, the candidate must present:
School Records;
High school graduation certificate with sworn translation.
Result of the English proficiency exam.
Recommendations written by teachers (must be in English).
A letter explaining the reasons why I decided to try a course at Oxford.
Admissions tests for Oxford are only available between the beginning of May and October 15th. In other words, the next opportunities will only open in 2024.
