The agencies of Banco do Brasil and Caixa Econômica Federal will begin services an hour earlier this Wednesday (22). The measure will be to increase the deadline for negotiations on the Unroll Brazil, a Federal Government program, with the aim of enabling Brazilians to renegotiate their debts.

The decision is part of the “D-Day” of the program, promoted by the Ministry of Finance. Unlike federal institutions, private banks such as Itaú, Santander and Bradesco reported that they will not change their units' opening hours.
Desenrola is offering installment payments for debts of up to R$20,000 since Monday (20). However, these debts must have been negative between 2019 and December 31, 2022. Bank and non-bank debts, such as credit cards, electricity bills, commercial accounts, among others, can be renegotiated. Discounts reach up to 99%, with installments in up to 60 months and interest of up to 1.99% per month.
Banks participating in Desenrola Brasil
- Caixa Econômica Federal
Caixa announced the opening of its branches an hour earlier across the country this Wednesday (22). According to the bank, 273,550 outstanding contracts have already been regularized through Desenrola. In total, more than R$5 billion has already been renegotiated with the institution.
Caixa informed that, in addition to Desenrola, it will carry out debt renegotiation this Wednesday FIES and the settlement of Minha Casa, Minha Vida contracts for those who receive Bolsa Família or the Continuous Payment Benefit (BPC).
- Bank of Brazil
Just like Caixa, the Bank of Brazil will also start services an hour earlier this Wednesday. BB announced that more than four thousand service points will have extended opening hours to serve Brazilians who want to participate in Desenrola.
To date, the institution has announced that 2.5 million customers with debts between R$5,000 and R$20,000 are eligible to pay in installments through the program.
- Santander
Santander announced that it will not change the opening hours of its branches, as “it already works with extended opening hours at branches, from 9am to 6pm”. According to the institution, renegotiations may or may not be entered into, in addition to flexible rates, installments in up to 120 installments and discounts of up to 90%. Renegotiations can take place through customer service channels or on the institution's website.
- Bradesco
Bradesco announced that service at its branches will remain at regular hours. Thus, customers will be able to renegotiate their debts that fall under Desenrola through the bank's digital channels or through the Gov.br platform.
- Itaú Unibanco
Itaú announced that the branches will operate during “regular operating hours”, but that their digital channels will continue to be serviced 24 hours a day. For customers who fall into Desenrola's band 2, with income of up to R$20,000, renegotiations must be made through the service channels.
For customers who fall into bracket 1, with a gross monthly income of up to R$2,640 or registered in the CadÚnico, renegotiations will be carried out through the Desenrola platform. “Additionally, the bank also has a service and support cell exclusively dedicated to customers of the Desenrola program,” announced Itaú.
