This survey, which covered more than 1 thousand interviewees, shows that these young people prioritize careers that provide no just flexibility and creativity, but also the possibility of balancing personal life and professional.

The report thus highlights a paradigm shift in professional aspirations, deviating from sectors traditionally associated with success to embrace opportunities that promote a more dynamic and balanced lifestyle.

According to Ann Woo, director of corporate citizenship at Samsung Electronics America, the attractiveness largely lies in the lifestyle offered.

The creative media and entertainment industry stands out for providing flexibility and self-expression, two attributes highly valued by young professionals looking for jobs.

Generation Z seeks balance

Woo highlights that Gen Z, a deeply social generation, places great importance on community and social impact in their careers, as opposed to job stability.

In different surveys, including the one conducted by Samsung and Morning Consult, the search for a solid balance between personal and professional life, as well as opportunities for growth and apprenticeship.

Furthermore, the search for space for creativity was identified as one of the main priorities for young professionals at the beginning of their careers.

As time progresses, Gen Z demonstrates an increasing inclination towards careers in the media sector and entertainment, driven, in part, by the perceived viability of a career as an influencer on social networks social.

As indicated by a recent report from Morning Consult, approximately 57% of Gen Zers have expressed a desire to become influencers if the opportunity presents itself.

In addition to all the particularity, Gen Z is planning career transitions at a faster pace compared to previous generations.

According to a new report from EY, almost 40% of members of this generation are involved in side jobs and activities. Some crave professional autonomy, while others aspire to early retirement.
