Depending on internal demands and selections, employees may change departments and work sectors. In this sense, Garbazza reinforces the aspect of career flexibility that Petrobras offers its employees.

"Here we change jobs without changing companies". The person making this statement is Tiana Maciel Ellwanger, who works as Experience and Journey coordinator for New Employees.

With 14 years at Petrobras, Tiana says that she started in the communications area and then worked in the Information Technology (IT) sector. Currently, the Rio native has been working in the Human Resources (HR) area for three years.

One of the company's objectives, according to Tiana, is to build an increasingly diverse Petrobras. The professional reinforces that in this sense is the search for more women working at the state-owned company, as well as people with disabilities and black people.

From the position of technician to superior

Born in Salvador (BA), Janssen Villian, a Petrobras employee, has accumulated experience at both technical and higher education levels.

Graduated from the Chemical Technician course, Janssen's first position was as an operations technician in the Transfer and Storage, sector responsible for storing oil when it arrives at the refinery to be processed and transformed into its derivatives.

"As soon as we pass the Petrobras competition, we already realize the world that Petrobras is, in terms of possibilities, of encouraging study and learning. When I was called up, before starting work, I was asked to take a training course that lasted four months. After completing the course, I was lucky enough to stay in Bahia and was allocated to work in a refinery."

The young man reinforces the importance of exchanging experiences in the workplace, as it is possible to interact with recent graduates and professionals with a 30-year career.

Among his activities over time at the state-owned company are management and coordination positions, including instructor at the refining academy.

Approval in the Petrobras higher competition, after training in Petroleum Engineering, allowed the Bahian to continue with the company now at a higher level. Villian's current position is in the Governance and Project Review Management.

"We are currently talking about energy transition. Petrobras is leading this movement. It's really cool to be in a company that is a cutting-edge leader, that has the largest research center in Latin America. And that we can be involved in these activities, with our knowledge and skills."

Petrobras University and career development

To guarantee the development and training of professionals who work at Petrobras, the company has an extensive and modern infrastructure that constitutes the Petrobras University.

Petrobras University is responsible for training courses taken by new employees who enter the company, to the training offered for the development and updating of professionals.

The Laboratory of Learning Experiences with Disruptive Methodologies at Petrobras University has with state-of-the-art technological resources that are applied in training and qualification of servers. Among the tools are: telepresence robots, extended realities and metaverse.
