During the last week of September, Brazil is destined to face intense heat that will make thermometers rise, just as has happened during the last few days.
During the week, a meteorological event is about to enter the scene: the formation of a new extratropical cyclone in the high seas, close to the coast of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.

The phenomenon not only promises to bring a significant change in climate conditions, but will also intensify instability in part of the Southern Region of Brazil.
The climate, which would initially be notable for its scorching heat, will give way to a more hectic and unpredictable atmospheric dynamic.
It is important to pay attention to weather updates, as sudden changes can impact daily activities and safety in affected regions.
Forecasts for the last week of September
South
The areas located in the south, east, coast, in the Greater Porto Alegre region and in the extreme north of Rio Grande do Sul are in a state of alert due to the cyclone in formation.
The forecast points to a departure from this cyclone as early as Wednesday (27), but until then, these regions are expected to remain under its influence, facing unstable weather conditions.
In Santa Catarina, the formation of an extratropical cyclone intensifies storm clouds. Parts of the east and south of the state are under warning for heavy rain.
Southeast
The forming cyclone will also have an influence on the Southeast region, especially in São Paulo, where a sudden drop in temperatures is expected from Wednesday (27) to Thursday (28).
According to MetSul Meteorologia, in São Paulo, the maximum temperature should drop from 35°C to 20°C. In Rio de Janeiro, the thermal change will be significant, with the maximum going from 37°C to 22°C. In Vitória, the variation will be from 37°C to 27°C.
North and Northeast
Despite the prevailing heat in the North of Brazil, there is the possibility of isolated rain showers throughout the week in the capitals Boa Vista, Manaus, Porto Velho and Rio Branco.
It is important to be aware of these weather conditions, as, even in hot periods, isolated rain can occur and affect daily activities.
All capitals in the Brazilian Northeast will face temperatures above 30°C throughout the week. Teresina will be the hottest city in the region, with thermometers reaching 39°C.
The forecast indicates that the Northeast region will also have a lot of clouds this week. In Maceió, there is the possibility of isolated rain on Monday (25).
Midwest
Despite the persistence of intense heat, the Central-West region of Brazil is expected to experience rain this week.
Both Campo Grande and Cuiabá will face isolated rain showers from Wednesday onwards. In particular, Cuiabá will see temperatures continue to rise, forecast to reach 43°C on Monday and Tuesday (26).
These rains may offer some relief from the high temperatures, although it is important to monitor the local forecasts to adequately prepare for climate change and possible impacts arising from rains.
