Obmep 2nd phase test locations
The 2nd phase tests will be held on the day October 7th. Participants will have to answer six essay questions. The result of the 1st phase came out on August 2nd.
The 1st phase of Obmep was applied on May 30th. Candidates had to solve a test of 20 objective questions.
The exams of Brazilian Public School Mathematics Olympiad (Obmep) are divided into three levels:
Level 1: 6th or 7th year of elementary school
Level 2: 8th or 9th year of elementary school
Level 3: High school.
Selection for 2nd phase of Obmep
The students with the highest grades from each school were classified for the 2nd phase of Obmep, in the 3 levels. The application, correction and tiebreaker criteria for the 1st phase of Obmep were defined by the schools themselves.
The number of places available for the 2nd phase of Obmep at each level depended on the number of people enrolled in the first, check the proportion:
1 student | 1 vacancy |
2 to 40 students | 2 vacancies |
41 to 80 students | 4 vacancies |
81 to 140 students | 7 vacancies |
141 to 240 students | 12 vacancies |
241 students or more | 5% of the total number of students enrolled in the First Phase |

Obmep 2023 Awards
A announcement of the winners of Obmep 2023 will be held on the day December 20.
The performance of the 2nd phase of Obmep will be considered in the evaluation process for the award. The first phase serves only as a qualifier for the second.
Will be distributed gold, silver, bronze medals and honorable mentions. In addition to students, teachers will also be awarded.
