Didn't you know that sleeping well is an important part of your fitness life? So it is! This is just as important as taking whey and creatine.
In an interview with SBT's “The Noite” program, Chinese Medicine specialist Peter Liu told presenter Danilo Gentili some tips on how to get a great night's sleep.
What else prevents a good night's sleep?
According to Peter Liu, his patients' biggest complaint is always difficulty sleeping. That feeling of lying in bed and not falling asleep, or wandering around the house without feeling like putting your head on the pillow and getting under the covers.
In the interview with Danilo Gentili, the specialist said that it is necessary to encourage the body to be a little rested and for the person to do a sleep hygiene, before anything else. This is what most prevents people from getting a good night's sleep.
“Before going to sleep, you have to take a shower, do your sleep hygiene, turn off the lights”, begins the specialist. “Write down everything that’s in your head. Take a piece of paper and give it to the you of tomorrow'”, he added.
Liu then taught an infallible breathing technique that will help you get a great night's sleep. “Inhale, hold for three [seconds] and release. Take three breaths like this”, he pointed out. “Then, hold it for four [seconds]. And it’s increasing.”

Food influences
Do you know when your grandmother told you not to sleep with a full stomach? She is very correct. A full stomach and working tirelessly to digest will give your brain no respite.
Furthermore, according to Peter Liu, there are some foods that can help renew your sleep. He claims that zucchini, cucumber, kale and ginger can help you sleep peacefully.
