Students from private and public institutions can register until November 1st to participate in the event. Thus, they can be in the challenge held in more than 75 countries around the world.
this challenge computational was created in Lithuania by teacher Valentina Dagiené. This is the second edition held in our country, and last year the event had more than 8,500 participants.

“The main objective is to awaken curiosity and interest in computing in basic education through fun activities. We would like children to start approaching the universe of computing and computational thinking even before they deal with electronic devices and the programming itself”, said Cristina Diaz, director of UpMat Educational.
The institution is responsible for organizing the test in Brazil and also handles the Kangaroo Contest of Mathematics Brazil. This had more than 960 thousand participants during the year 2023.

The test, which is aimed at students from all schools, does not require prior knowledge on the subject or even programming.
In fact, the event stimulates critical thinking, division of functions and the establishment of steps to follow to reach the desired result.
Which students can participate in the test
To the evidences are with multiple choice questions and aimed at students from the third year of elementary school in public and private institutions.
Thus, they stimulate computational thinking for the subsequent development of skills with algorithmic thinking and computer programming.
The exams will be applied to students between the 6th and the 10th of November, with the results obtained released from the 4th of December. The application takes place according to the decision of the schools, and may occur in person or remotely.
Students who take the test will be entitled to receive digital awards, in addition to obtaining certificates of participation. In addition, students also receive rankings such as bronze, silver or gold and merit honors.
Schools wishing to participate must pay a one-time registration fee regardless of the number of students participating. The values are R$ 260 for public institutions and R$ 520 for private schools.
