Where: The adverb where indicates the place where something or someone is and should be used to express the idea of place. In a text, and even in oral language, to avoid the repetition of this word, we can use other expressions that give the same meaning, such as in which, in which, in which. Note the examples:

She arrived in São Paulo not long ago and doesn't know where is the Municipal Market.

To where: Like the adverb where, it is used to indicate the place where something or someone is, however, it should be observed whether the verb with which it relates requires the preposition “a”. If there is a need for the preposition, it must be added to the word onde to form the word to where. the adverb to where expresses the idea of the place to which one goes, that is, destination or movement.
