With the change of government after the elections, the discussion about the permanence of changes in Secondary Education was expanded. On this, the Minister of Education, Camilo Santana, stated that he will not revoke the decisions taken. Instead, points of the new High school they will be reviewed by a group of professionals involved in different levels of education.

When Brazil undergoes a change of government, questions always arise about the permanence of previous projects, as a new group comes to power. This happened with the plan for the New Secondary School, approved during the government of Michel Temer, that there was no guarantee of continuation in the Lula government.
What does the new government say about it?
Regarding education reform, the new Minister of Education reinforced that the changes will not be revoked, but will be reviewed by managers.
Santana commented the following: “The [New] High School is in progress. What we are putting in place is the creation of a working group, which will be made official by ordinance. We will gather all sectors to discuss”.
According to the politician, the main modification will be in the possibility of dialogue between the different instances that involve the change, something that did not happen in its implementation. Thus, there will be a meeting between the State Secretaries of Education and representatives of students and teachers to discuss the model.
Still on this fact he points out: “We want to do research, online consultations with professors and the academic community, make seminars and bring scholars together so that we can, in a collective discussion, improve whatever is needed in Teaching Average".
Camilo reinforces that there are positive points, such as the expansion of the workload and the complementary disciplines. However, the weaknesses pointed out by educators and students, such as the reduction in the workload of main disciplines and the removal of Philosophy and Sociology, will be analyzed by the team responsible.
