How to get rid of images saved in the gallery by WhatsApp
Downloading unwanted media not only affects your phone, it also prevents you from receiving and downloading new content that may be useful to you. That's because your cell phone's memory will be so full that it won't support anything else, even if you need it.
It is extremely important that you configure your smartphone to avoid situations like this. There are two ways to prevent unwanted media from landing in your gallery. Check it out below and see which one fits your needs.
1st way:
- Access the settings in the WhatsApp application itself;
- Select “Conversations”;
- If your cell phone is Android, click on the “Media visibility” option; if it is an iPhone, go to “Save in photos”;
- Disable the option in question;
In this way, no media will be saved in your photo gallery, so you can guarantee a clean phone without unnecessary photos or videos.
Now check out the second way to configure your cell phone if you want to limit it to just one group or chat.
2nd way:
- Go directly to the group or window in question;
- Click on “More options”;
- Select “View contact information”;
- Go to “Media Visibility” and click “No”.
