Prohibition of names on the shirt of the Brazilian national team
After a difficult time caused by the covid-19 pandemic, Brazilians are anxious and excited for the World Cup that will take place in November of this year. With that, people plan to celebrate and watch their country's national team play. The sad part of this is that now Nike has banned Brazilians from putting some names on the back of the new Brazil shirt.
The new shirts began to be sold on the 8th, on the company's official website. The uniforms have 4 versions and you can choose the one you prefer.
On the sale website, the user can customize the new shirts with the number of his choice and the name. However, the company prohibited the use of the names of possible candidates for the presidency. the names of “Lula”, “Bolsonaro”, “Ciro”, “Alckmin”, “Tebet”, “Janones” are prohibited from being used on the back of the shirt.
Other names that also make reference to the policy were banned by the company. Check out some of them: “Moro”, “Damares”, “Doria”, “Haddad”, “Dilma”, between others. Furthermore, expressions like “bolsomito”, “communist”, “petista”, “myth”, were also banned from customization.
