Who can make the retroactive contribution?
In fact, it is possible to make the INSS retroactive contribution, but this option is not available to all Brazilian citizens. Currently, three groups of workers can contribute in this way to the institute. These are: optional contributors; individual taxpayers and MEI.
In the first case, optional taxpayers are those who make the payment to the INSS on their own. That is, it is not out of obligation, and it works as a way to continue obtaining the right to social security services. In this case, these workers can pay the bills that are less than 6 months late.
Individual taxpayers and MEI are those who perform remunerated activity and assume the risk of their activity, such as the self-employed. In this case, the person can make payments at any time or period. In addition, it will not be necessary to prove the work when the delay is less than 5 years.
How to pay the contribution?
To generate the overdue Social Security tab, you must access the INSS page. In this, click on “Calculate Guide/Carnê” for GPS calculation. Once this is done, select your affiliation range, then enter your NIT/PIS/PASEP and confirm.
Finally, fill in the blanks with the months you intend to pay. In this way, the amount will already appear, including the fines and interest applied, in addition to generating the GPS and making the payment of your retroactive contribution.
