Data show that Auxílio Brasil has around 18 million users. Of this amount, it is estimated that approximately 15.3 million are women. Therefore, 84.7% of beneficiaries are female, a very expressive percentage.
It is worth mentioning that Auxílio Brasil is not paid only to women, as citizens who meet the requirements to receive the social benefit can also be part of the payroll. However, in the CadÚnico entry process, there is an indication that the preference for ownership of the registration is for a female person.
What was also being talked about a lot in recent days was the change in the monthly amount to be paid to Auxílio Brasil beneficiaries. The approval of the so-called PEC das Bondades has already brought about changes in some of the social programs.
As of August, more than 18 million people will receive around R$ 600.00 in Auxílio Brasil. Furthermore, the Ministry of Citizenship is trying to place more than 2 million people in the program, something that will greatly reduce the waiting list for the benefit.
Official information indicates that in April the program queue reached 2,788,362 families. São Paulo is leading this list, with around 15% of all families waiting for the benefit.
