Find out which health problem your blood type is most vulnerable to

Developed in 1930, the ABO blood group system performs the function of classifying the blood type of the human being. Thanks to this system, it is possible to know if a blood type is qualified to make donations or receive content of another type without any complications.

However, little is heard about the other factors related to blood types, such as illnesses linked directly to them. So check out more information about your blood type and learn what health problems you may face.

Determination of blood type

An individual's blood type is genetically determined, that is, it will depend on their lineage. Therefore, it occurs in the same way as the color of eyes, skin and other aspects.

Identification

Through a blood test, it is already possible to find out the blood type. Three substances containing antibodies A, B and Rh factor are respectively mixed with the collected blood. From the reaction that the blood has, the type will be identified.

types

There are eight blood types, four of which are Rh positive and the rest are Rh negative. They are: A, B, AB and O, where each type has its version with positive and negative Rh factor.

health risks

Some diseases are common in certain blood types, while others pass by. Check now which ones are associated with your blood type and which ones you don't need to worry about that much:

1. Type A

If you have type A blood, stomach and pancreas cancer, malaria, diabetes and rheumatic disease occur more often. Venous thromboembolism (VTE) and lupus are more serious diseases in this group. On the other hand, type A has less chance of stress due to high cortisol level.

2. Type B

Pancreatic cancer and stomach cancer are common, as the molecules present in type B red blood cells help bacteria proliferate. VTE and Lupus also occur frequently in this blood type.

3. Type AB

He often suffers from strokes, as this type of blood clots more than others. Memory problems are also more common in type AB, in addition to pancreatic and stomach cancers and blood clots.

4. Type O

Although he is less likely to acquire malaria and does not suffer much from heart disease, thus increasing the life expectancy of those with type O blood, he does not escape either. Ulcers often trouble people with this blood type, and type O women have fewer healthy eggs (low fertility). He also suffers from rheumatic disease and has more deaths related to hemorrhage.
