I am often asked “What is living in the present moment?”. The answer is always the same: it would be to learn to recognize our emotions and feelings, and accept them as they are. Being able to prevent the sadness of past events or anxiety and uncertainty about the future from paralyzing us.
Living in the present moment implies facing with an open attitude everything good and bad that happens to us; it allows us to enjoy each situation, to be aware and coherent with ourselves and with what surrounds us.

Running away from the present is something we do unconsciously. That's how we were taught and that's why we ignore it without realizing it. But why do we do this? Not living our present makes us idealize the future that we always think about, that future towards which we are moving, but which we see as something very distant.
Once you start living in the present moment, you will be more aware of the things that are important to you, you will be more compassionate with yourself; you'll spend more quality time with the people around you and live with purpose.
How to learn to live in the present?
1.Accept everything that comes into your life – It's about accepting experiences as they come, without labeling them positive or negative, living in the now. For example, instead of labeling a situation as sad, painful, or exciting, you should simply focus on what you're experiencing, even if it's not pleasant.
In reality, most situations are neither positive nor negative, it's your expectations, experiences and perceptions that tip the balance towards the negative side.
2.Reflect and then act. After experiencing the emotional part of the experience, it's time to focus on the interpretation. Stop for a while to think about what you've been feeling, analyze if you need to change something and if it's really worth it. If so, what do you plan to do about it? How are you going to act? Before taking the next step, connect with your life needs and goals.
3. Get control. Therefore, if you want to live fully in the present, it is important to accept that there are many situations that are within your control, over which you have a lot of influence. You must let circumstances flow, thus adopting a more relaxed attitude that allows you to be open to opportunities as they arise.
4.Savor every moment. It is essential that you remember that each moment is unique, live it fully. It is also recommended that you only do one task at a time and spend as much time as you need on it. The key to savoring every moment is to enjoy it more.
5.Get rid of beliefs. Limiting beliefs are one of the main barriers that prevent us from enjoying the present moment, because they face situations assuming preconceived response patterns that leave no room for new possibilities. Open yourself to new experiences truly in tune with your needs and desires.
6. Co-create the reality you want. Remember the ephemeral nature of life and the need to enjoy each day, each moment, live the present and give life to our days, being able to co-create what you really want for your life in the future
