How can the measure be implemented?
As it is an election year, the increase in value or creation of a new benefit is prohibited by law. However, to ensure the implementation of the income, it is likely that a state of emergency, which will be regulated through the proposed amendment to the constitution (PEC) already discussed in Senate.
In addition, there are other issues that may prevent the readjustment in the value of the Brazil Aid, such as some tax restrictions. This is because if the package exceeds the cost cut amount, it cannot be done this year.
