Why are the states not complying with the proposal?
The new measure determines that all drivers who renew their licenses after June 1 already leave with both versions of the CNH. However, not all states are complying with the decision. The justification given is that the current system of the Traffic Department (Senatran) has not yet been updated, which makes digital issuance difficult.
The Detran-DF, in a note, said that Senatran has not yet released the issue only in the digital version. Thus, one must have the physical to gain access to the digital.
Thus, the driver who wants the digital version will need to guarantee the physical version and follow the same existing procedures. That is, it will be necessary to download the application and log in to the Gov.br digital account.
