Many think that the habit of rubbing the pieces removes the stains from yellowish socks, but it doesn't work that way. On the contrary, this process ends up damaging the fibers of the socks, thus ruining their fabric. Check out the tips below and solve this problem once and for all!
1. Whitening dirty socks
Initially, it is important that the parts are washed in the machine soon after contact with dirt, to prevent them from becoming grimy. That way, the faster the washing takes place, the easier it will be to whiten the socks.
2. Using the right products
First, dissolve a tablespoon of baking soda in 5 liters of water. Then, squeeze a whole lemon and place the socks in the water. Then, using coconut soap, scrub the sock thoroughly. After that, let the pieces rest for 3 hours. Finally, wash the pieces as usual and place them in the sun to dry.
3. Degreasing Socks With Vinegar
White vinegar helps when cleaning any piece of clothing. Therefore, to clean your socks, put 1 teaspoon of white vinegar in 1 liter of hot water in a basin. Then leave the pieces resting in the mixture for 30 minutes and then wash normally.
4. Washing socks with baking soda
First of all, dissolve 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of liquid soap in 1 liter of hot water. Then mix and soak the socks for 1 hour. Then just wash normally.
5. Washing socks correctly
In addition, it is important to know the correct way to wash your socks, as this is just as important as knowing how to clean them. When washing, do not put the pieces inside out in the machine, as the dirt will be inside the piece.
Also, do not leave the grimy socks together when washing if they are of different colors, as the previously white pieces will end up getting stained when mixed with the colored ones. In summary and most importantly, read all the indications on the garments' labels, as some fabrics cannot be exposed to the sun.
