How did the study work?

The researchers selected 11 people, who were placed in an ergonomic chair for 8 hours. They could only get up if it was to go to the bathroom and walk periods on the treadmill. From there, they tested different times and intervals to find a good solution to the problem of sitting for a long time.

One minute of walking was tested every 30 minutes sitting, one minute every 60 minutes, five minutes every 30 minutes, five minutes every 60 minutes and, finally, no walking.
In addition, participants also performed activities while sitting, such as using their laptops, cell phones, reading and, of course, eating regularly. It is important to emphasize that blood pressure and sugar levels were measured throughout the research period.
