Sicredi is a cooperative financial institution that has more than 6 million members and is in all states of our country and also in the Federal District. The bank, which even participated in the first edition of the event, also confirmed its sponsorship quota for this year.
The 2022 edition will be held in Araraquara and Jaú, in the interior of São Paulo, between the 7th and 15th of November. During the event, the development of women's football on and off the pitch will also be discussed.
These lectures will be held jointly with the São Paulo Football Federation, addressing topics such as female leadership, management, sports marketing, preparation of adequate calendars and also the formation of new athletes.
Using the experience that teams from abroad can pass on is something essential in this event, which since its inception first edition features international teams, such as América de Cali, from Colombia, and also River Plate, from Argentina. For this year, the presence of the teams mentioned above reaffirms the objective of the event. Treating it like an international event only brings benefits to the modality, which has been growing little by little and gaining strength in the country.
Talking about women's football and also dealing with issues related to sports incentives is nothing new for Sicredi. This is because, in addition to participating in the event from the beginning, the institution was also an official sponsor of the Campeonato Paulista de 2022, which was considered a historic edition, where all games were broadcast live and had the biggest prize pool ever registered, reaching R$ 2.6 million to be distributed to the clubs, further increasing the competitiveness between the 12 teams that participated. In addition to the Brazilian Women's National Team, the bank has also sponsored another international tournament.
“Carrying out incentives for women's football is linked to our values, which are also part of our essence, such as social inclusion and community, for example. We are proud to be able to say that we support women's football once again, seeking greater equity and also trying to generate greater visibility for the category”, said Josiane Reis, Superintendent of Brand, Communication and Segments at Sicredi.
