The United Kingdom (UK) recently unveiled a new visa model. In this way, people with degrees from the world's leading universities can now apply for the document, which is valid for two to three years.
The idea behind this new vision, offered by this group of countries, is to attract the brightest minds from the world to these lands, but the novelty is only valid for those who received their diploma in the last five years.
How will the new visa work?
Candidates who apply for the document and are approved may stay for two years if they are bachelors or masters. In the case of doctors, the time jumps to three years.
As a result, those who find work, for example, can seek other types of long-term visas to ensure continuity of employment. The new law opens doors for those who choose to live temporarily in the United Kingdom or intend to spend the rest of their lives in one of the countries in question.
To gain access to the new visa model, however, the person must have attended one of the universities that are on the list of the best in the world, and this must appear in the ranking for at least two years. The UK government has released a list of university names, making it easy to check.
Although no Brazilian institution is on the list of the best in the world, this does not prevent Brazilians from applying, as the main requirement is where students graduated, not where were born.
