Photo reminder in Instagram feed
The Instagram reminder is a feature that the application created to allow certain profiles to publish an event that they were going to take place, and that other users could be reminded of it. In this sense, the tool is only available to professional accounts and its use can be made in feed posts or any photo with a product tag. Also, a reminder for the same event can be added to more than one publication. However, Instagram makes it impossible for these posts to be used in ads, and the reminder can only be created three months to one hour before the event.
When an account activates a reminder on the post, anyone who sees the post will see a bell on the bottom left of the photo in the feed. With this, followers just click on the bell and then select the “Remind me” option that will activate the notification for the day before and for the day of the event.
Step by step to place the reminder
To activate a reminder on your post, just make a post like any other. When you do this, just below where you place the caption, the option “Add Reminder” will appear. Click on it and fill in the requested information. When finished, check that the information is correct and tap “Finish” in the upper right corner of the screen. That's it, you've added the reminder!
And don't worry, if there is any change in the event or you have entered some information wrong, you can edit it. So, just enter the post and click on the three dots that appear above the photo. Select the edit option and, thus, you will be able to either change the information entered or delete the event, if necessary. And then, simple, isn't it? Use and abuse this option in your disclosures. This can allow more people to access your events.
