Netflix has confirmed the release of the second season of Sweet Tooth. The statement was given by the company last Thursday (29). The series tells the story of a hybrid child and stars Christian Convery.

Despite the banter, the first season was a hit on Netflix. Based on Jeff Lemire's HQ, Sweet Tooth arrived to occupy the TOP 10 in the platform's catalog.
What is the series about?
The protagonist is a hybrid child, a half-human, half-deer boy. The world takes place in a post-apocalyptic environment. Despite being of great resemblance to the original work in comics. The director, Jim Mickle, was responsible for some changes within the plot. Still, the series was highly praised by Jeff Lemire.
Lemire is the author of works such as Descender, Family Tree and The Underwater Welder. However, Sweet Tooth was one of the most relevant comics in the author's career. Jim Mickle insisted for 12 years that the adaptation be brought to the screen.
The series shows the trajectory of Gus (Christian Convery), a boy-deer. He goes on an adventure alongside the lonely traveler Jepperd (Nonso Anozie). This comes after years of hiding in a forest under the protection of his father, Richard Fox (Will Forte).
Other half-animal hybrid humans also exist in the world created by Lemire.
In the video that announces the second season, a boy dressed as Gus enters the scene. He appears with a chocolate and a TV control in his hand, in addition to a nearby glass of milk. He says the following: “Marathoned? Because the second season confirmed!
