Yamaha will inject more than R$500 million in investments in Brazil

A Yamaha announced that it will invest around R$520 million in Brazil. These resources will be used for significant improvements in the Manaus factory, technological innovations, environmental projects and the transfer of the headquarters to São Paulo.

According to the Webmotors website, Yamaha's investments will be distributed between the current period and 2025.

Approximately 80% of the funds will be allocated to improving and expanding the production capacity of the factory located in Manaus, which should become more sustainable.

Also according to the portal, the manufacturing unit will have greater emphasis on projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions.

To base the new investments, Yamaha established a series of ambitious goals that include the improvement of the internal productive processes and the partnership with suppliers.

In addition, topics such as the modernization of technology projects at the information, improving logistics and promoting sustainable initiatives, such as cutting emissions of carbon.

The change of the automaker's headquarters city

The change of Yamaha's administrative headquarters, which had already been announced in 2022, will be one of the projects contemplated by the new financial contribution.

The construction will be carried out in the south zone of São Paulo and will focus on creating a structure that offers greater agility and innovation to drive the brand's sustainable growth.

Yamaha Brasil's logistics center and product development area will be transferred to the municipality of Jandira, which is located in the metropolitan region of São Paulo.

The city was chosen because it allows quick access to the loading and unloading of materials destined for the Manaus, which will enable a more efficient distribution of parts and accessories for the network of dealerships brand.

At an approximate cost of R$40 million, the transfer of Yamaha headquarters in Brazil is expected to be carried out gradually throughout 2023.

Currently, the Yamaha Group of Brazil has around 10,000 employees, including direct and indirect employees.

This contingent is distributed among the company's 4,500 employees and the 5,500 employees who work in its wide network, made up of 517 dealerships and points of sale located throughout the territory national.
