Google Launch: Account Manager

Through the “Account Manager” it will be possible to notice if your account is inactive. This update was created thinking about cases of death, as the person can use this new tool to leave a will, for example. For an account to be considered inactive, it must have the time determined by the platform and the person can choose what information to share with the person who has access to their information.

How to use the Inactive Account Manager

As it is an update that was released a short time ago, many people still don't know how to use it, so here's the step by step:

1. Go to Google’s “Inactive Account Manager” page and click “Get Started”;
2. Tap where there is a pencil icon and enter the time it will take for Google to consider your account as inactive;
3. Select the time and click “Save”;
4. Add an email and phone number to be used in case of recovery and click “Next”;
5. Click on “Add person” to choose the person who will have access to your account in case of inactivity;
6. Enter the e-mail address of the chosen person and click “Next”;
7. Choose the services that this person may have access to and click “Next”;
8. Enter the person's phone number and click "Save";
9. Click “Next”;
10. Click on “Review the plan” to check if the information is correct and if you do not want to choose anyone who has access to your account can choose the option to delete it after three months of inactivity;
11. Click on “Confirm plan” and that’s it.
