The conscious consumption of water is very important for the preservation of the planet and also for our pocket. With that in mind, some measures can be adopted, such as reusing water from the washing machine to use in other day-to-day activities. This equipment can use 10 to 20L of water per type of wash and all that amount would go down the drain.
Therefore, today we are going to teach you how to make a very simple system for collecting water from these machines so that you can reserve it and enjoy it during the week too, see:

Required Materials
To serve as a reservoir you will need a drum of at least 80L, it is possible to choose one with a larger capacity also following the consumption of your residence.
Also, buy a new faucet to put on the drum and reserve an old knife or box cutter.
How to make
The first step is to prepare the reservoir, so start by measuring the size of the faucet to make a cut in the drum, for this you can use a pen or marker. The next step is to heat the knife/stylus over the fire and cut the marking made.
Once this opening is done, fit the faucet and make sure it fits perfectly to avoid possible water leaks. If everything is correct, your reservoir is ready, now all you have to do is position it next to your machine.
That done, take the hose from the equipment and fit it to the top of the drum, so while your clothes are washing and the water is coming out of the machine, your reservoir is filling up.
where to use
This recaptured water will be perfect for washing backyards, indoor environments, sidewalks, balconies and even cars and shoes. However, it should never be used for personal consumption or for cleaning food.
Furthermore, it is recommended to collect only the water from the second washing of the equipment, as the first will contain dirt and chemical residues from the clothes.
