Anvisa prohibits the manufacture of 7 hair products

On the last 13th of January, the National Agency for Health Surveillance, Anvisa, prohibited the manufacture of some hair products. In this case, the decision came after more than 200 complaints about problems such as eye burns and even temporary blindness caused by the products. Next, see which products these were.

Complaints of burns

In a note, Anvisa said that the products that were banned did not meet the requirements and health standards in effect. In the same note, the agency also makes it clear that, shortly after the evidence of the complaints, the manufacture of these products was definitively prohibited.

It is worth mentioning that the decision comes after the prohibition of the modeling ointment Cassu Braids, from Microfarma Indústria e Comércio Ltda. last January 7th. Among the reasons that led to the ban are the more than 200 complaints of temporary blindness and also burns in the eyes after using the products.

For those who used the ointment, the recommendation is to return it to the company and immediately stop using the product. If there is application, care must be taken when washing the hair, as the contact of the ointment in the eyes can cause the problems already mentioned. The same must be done with the other seven products that Anvisa banned.

List of products prohibited by Anvisa

There were eight products in all, if we consider the Cassu Braids modeling ointment, which was banned on the 7th. The other products were banned on January 13, but all were banned definitively. Below, see what the products are:
