Whatsapp gets new functionality from Facebook

Meta, which is the company responsible for Whatsapp, announced that it will make available to its users the same customizable avatars that are already available on Facebook. A new way to express yourself

This novelty was published on Meta's website last Wednesday, the 7th, and allows platform users to express themselves in a way totally different and innovative, bearing in mind, mainly, that the avatars bring much more expressions than the 'emojis' already used in the app.

The coolest thing about the customizable avatar is that you can make it completely your own, that way, it's possible change your hair, skin color, your facial features and even the type of clothing that suits you best face. With this, 36 'stickers' will be made available that have different expressions and actions, in addition to which, it will also be possible to use your avatar as your profile picture.

The avatars were already available for testing since the month of June, but they only arrived for all users in the month of December, more precisely on the 7th. Some people are already familiar with avatars, but for those who don't know how to create their own, we'll let you step by step, which is actually quite simple:

  • Open the app and click on the three dots next to the magnifying glass (in the case of Android phones), or on the 'settings' tab for those who use it iphone;
  • Click on “avatar”;
  • After that, select the “create avatar” option;
  • This part is super intuitive and from there you can customize your avatar the way you want.
