dough ingredients

In this dough, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 200 g butter at room temperature;
  • 2 tablespoons of baking powder;
  • 5 cups (tea) wheat flour;
  • 1 egg and 2 yolks;
  • half a spoon (soup) of vanilla essence;
  • 1 cup (tea) sugar;
  • half a spoon (soup) of sodium bicarbonate;
  • 4 tablespoons of honey.

Ingredients for stuffing and topping

  • 1 can of condensed milk;
  • 500 g of milk chocolate.

Stuffing preparation method

You will need to make a homemade dulce de leche for the alfajor filling. So, you must remove the label and excess glue from the condensed milk can and place it in a pressure cooker with enough water to cover it.

After letting it cook for 20 minutes, you must turn off the cooker and let all the pressure out before opening it. In this way, remove the dulce de leche, transfer it to a container and mix it to be homogeneous.

Dough preparation method

To make the dough, place the butter, egg, egg yolks and sugar in a mixer and beat until smooth. Reserve. After that, in another container, place the flour, baking powder, vanilla, honey and baking soda. Then beat well mixing with the butter and other reserved ingredients.

Let the dough rest for 30 minutes and then, with a rolling pin, open the dough with two plastic wraps. Cut into small pieces, about 5 cm in diameter and grease a baking dish. Place the pieces of dough and bake the baking sheet at 180ºC for 8 minutes. Once ready, let the dough cool on the baking sheet with the parchment paper and add two pieces with dulce de leche in the middle.

How to prepare the topping

For the topping, just melt the chocolate and pour the syrup over the two previously joined pieces. So you can then cover it with aluminum foil to let it dry before eating.
