What is NuTap?
NuTap is a digital card machine developed by Nubank that can be used directly from your smartphone, without the need for a physical device. Its mode of use is also very simple, as all you have to do is activate it, inform the amount that will be charged from your customer, bring their card to the screen and that's it! You already have your payment.
In addition to debit and credit card, NuTap also accepts digital wallets such as Google Pay, Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. In view of this, the tool only works with cards that allow approximation purchases, as it is completely digital, making it impossible to physically read a card.
In this sense, at the end of the sale, you can send a receipt to the customer and also consult all the amounts received in “My Sales”. But not everything is flowers, is it? NuTap has some limitations, such as the fact that it can only be used by legal entities and only on Android devices with NFC.
In addition, the brands accepted by the tool are only Mastercard and Visa, however, according to Nubank, they will soon expand to new brands. About the amounts allowed, NuTap only accepts payment of amounts between R$ 2 and R$ 199.99, which are amounts that do not require a password for approval. The tool also allows installments, as long as each installment is worth R$ 5.
Fees
Fees are charged only when using the tool, without the need for membership, rent or monthly fees. Charges for purchases are made according to the modality used. See below:
- Cash credit card: 3.19%;
- Credit card up to 12 installments: up to 12.49%;
- Debit card: 1.49%.
All payments received are available in the account within 1 business day. For greater security of its customers, Nubank ensures that the tool has undergone several security tests and all data present in NuTap is encrypted. It is worth mentioning that the tool was created in partnership with financial services fintech Zoop.
