The benefits of the digital wallet
Recently, the Federal Government has been digitizing several essential documents for citizens. Among them, the Identity Card, Voter Title and Driver's License are the ones that stand out the most. However, few people know that the Digital Work Card has also been made official through the Ministry of Labor and Economy.
Thus, in times of pandemic and social isolation, this version of the document is extremely important to avoid unnecessary departures from home. In addition, with just a few taps on the cell phone screen, it is possible to gather various citizen information in a very simple way.
How does the digital work portfolio work?
The Digital Employment Card is a 100% electronic document, and has the same utility as the old physical Employment and Social Security Card. According to the MTE, this change aims to make it easier for workers and reduce a little the bureaucracy and costs of issuing the document.
From now on, when hiring someone, just inform the employer of the CPF number and wait for the registration to be made through the eSocial platform. That way, you will no longer need to take notes in your physical workbook. However, the old version is still required when there is a need to prove length of service.
How to issue the digital wallet?
The step by step of this process is very simple. To do so, you must access the MTE website and register. When you finish this step, use the account to enter the portal of the Ministry of Labor and Economy. Then, you will be directed to the Citizen's Area, where you will have to return to the Emprega Brasil portal.
Then, on the MTE services page, click on “Enter” at the top left of the page. Read the terms and conditions of use and press "Authorize". Finally, when this window closes automatically, you will have access to your Digital Employment Card.
