A new social network – Artifact – will be launched, which focuses on showing a news feed and texts selected by artificial intelligence, similar to the TikTok, but without the dances. Instagram co-founders Mike Krieger and Kevin Systrom are responsible for bringing the idea to life.
This is the first product created by the pros since the 2012 sale of Mark Zuckerberg's IG to Meta. Kevin and Mike remained with the company until 2018, when they decided to leave to work on new creations.

Intended for Android and iOS operating systems, the application's homepage displays reports popular chosen from selected vehicles, ranging from major newspapers to blogs specialized. In order for the content to reach the user, the AI will recommend personalized publications for each person.

According to the founders, the name is a fusion of the words “articles” and “facts”. In the same way as TikTok, when clicking on one of these articles, the application's algorithm will understand that the subject is of interest to the user. Therefore, Artifact will suggest similar texts.
Something like the “for you” tab of the Chinese social network.
And not only that. The app will allow users to discuss issues and content.
The creators of the new social network intend to launch a definitive version of Artifact. As they are still working on the project, there are no in-depth details on how the platform works in full. According to them, in the next updates, the application should include a feed of articles shared by accounts followed by the user and a private message box.

For now, the new tool has no release date, but for those who don't want to be left out, just take advantage of an already available option. On the last January 31st, a public waiting list for those interested in trying out the platform was made available. Thus, it is possible to wait for the release of the testing phase.
