The gasoline aid

First, a series of measures designed to minimize fuel prices as of Bill (PL) 1,472/2021 are being processed in the Senate. Therefore, the central objective is to change the fuel calculation formula, create price stabilization and seek ways to minimize impacts on the consumer's pocket.

In this context, an attempt is made to delay the increase in prices so that the increases passed on are felt in a more lenient way by the consumer. In this case, passed-through costs would not increase in line with the dollar.

Among these measures, the project also provides for the creation of gasoline aid for self-employed drivers, app taxi drivers and motorcyclists, who can benefit from values between R$ 100 and R$ 300.

Rules for receiving gasoline aid

The bill is still pending in the Senate. However, if approved, there will be some criteria for receipt that must be met correctly. The first is that only drivers who are enrolled in CadÚnico will be entitled to the benefit. Consequently, those who already receive the Brazil Aid will also be able to receive it.

Another point is that the aid amount will vary according to the type of vehicle. For example, a person who has a motorcycle of up to 150 cc will receive R$ 100 monthly benefit. Those who own a larger vehicle will receive a higher value. The gasoline aid has a 12-month forecast and intends to benefit millions of families.
