According to the Institute, around 3.3 million beneficiaries must provide proof of life corresponding to 2021 between January and April. As of February payments will begin to be suspended.
How to take the test
If you are one of the millions of INSS insured persons who are going to take the test, go to the bank where you receive your benefit payment. The procedure can be performed at ATMs through biometrics, or at bank branches. In addition, some banks also offer the option in the application or in internet banking.
In the case of facial biometrics duly registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) or the National Traffic Department (Denatran), it is possible to provide proof of life in the Meu INSS application.
How to take the test at home?
For elderly people from 80 years old, or citizens with limited mobility, there is the possibility of taking the test at home. It is necessary to schedule an appointment by calling 135 or through the Meu INSS application.
And for those outside Brazil?
In such a case, the INSS publishes a specific calendar for people living outside Brazil, with different guidelines and deadlines. In this sense, the beneficiary can take the test at Brazilian diplomatic representations or consular offices.
