The Global Happiness Study survey was conducted online with 22,508 thousand respondents aged 16-74 in 32 countries between 22 December 2022 and 6 January 2022 2023. In total, there were 1,000 respondents in Brazil and the margin of error is plus or minus 3.5 points.

According to the survey, middle-income countries, such as Brazil, showed an increase in the perception of happiness compared to high-income countries, such as France or the United Kingdom. People who are married, have more money and are more educated are, on average, happier. There was no difference in the perception of happiness between men and women. Also according to the survey, citizens of higher-income countries tend to be more satisfied with security, material possessions, quality of life and employment.
