Brazil will receive a plant for the production of solar energy. The project, with approval date by the State Council for the Environment (COEMA) set for this Thursday, September 10, will be responsible for inaugurating the largest solar energy project in the Ceará. The idea is that licensing environmental be approved later this week to speed up the installation process of the plant responsible for generating photovoltaic solar energy.

The choice of Ceará to be the receiving state for the solar energy park makes strategic sense and aims to expand the state's economic capacity. Due to its proximity to the Equator, the state receives the incidence of solar rays throughout its territory.
Project developed by the company Omega promises to deliver 4.6GW
The company Omega is responsible for designing and installing the solar power plant in Ceará in the rural area of the municipalities of Aracati and Icapuí, in the eastern part of the state. The installation of 4.6GW of power will be guaranteed by the presence of 8 million photovoltaic panels.
The construction of the project on the coast of Ceará will be carried out on a farm with the equivalent of 7,800 hectares. The site is currently part of the property of the J Macedo Group.
However, Omega is already a well-known company in the Ceará market, in particular, for being responsible for supplying the entire McDonald's chain in Fortaleza. There are 10,000 photovoltaic panels installed in Quixeré, a municipality in the state.
Today, the company Omega is known for being the largest renewable energy producer in Brazil, with a supply capacity of over 3.8 million homes.
Ceara's leadership in solar energy production
As for the states in the Northeast, Ceará occupies the lead among the largest producers of solar energy in the region. Currently, more than 170 municipalities in Ceará already have the installation of photovoltaic panels, equivalent to 94% of municipalities, with more than 9,094 consumers in the state.
In Fortaleza, the demand for solar energy transforms the capital of Ceará into the third municipality with the largest photovoltaic solar energy generation in Brazil, with more than 29.8MW of installed power.
